We recently did a quick survey among students those who are preparing for GRE as to find out why most of them fail to get a score of their dreams. And the most obvious answer was that most of the students don’t take their GRE practice tests not so seriously. The vast number of students doesn’t take more than one practice tests and this result in a score on test day because they are simply not fully ready to take the test.

So, how do you make your practice better? How to take practice tests for the GRE?

Before taking any practice test, first, you need to go through the upcoming GRE exam syllabus 2017. Make a proper study plan & time management plan for yourself. Then strictly follow these plans as it helps you to allow yourself adequate preparation time for GRE exam.

Set a Goal - Achieving Higher Score in upcoming GRE exam make it your only goal, by doing this you start focusing on your studies properly & you get an idea that how much time you need to achieve your score.

Before you start doing your studies, take a quick GRE online practice test. At the beginning of your studies by taking a test helps you to evaluate that at what module you are good & what skills you have.  It also tells you at which topic or module you need to focus more. It may help you to make a good study & time management plan.

Avoid taking too much test, don’t take the test more than once a week & most of the time don’t take a test more frequently than every 3 weeks. There are two phases of the study, First, is “Trying to improve” phase & another is “Final review “phase. During “trying to improve” phase it is completely waste of time to taking the test more frequently. The main point to taking practice test is to figure out what you need getting better.

Avoid taking a practice test within 5 days of your upcoming GRE exam, by doing this you tiring & injuring yourself mentally, as it reducing your confidence if you don't score well.

Don’t go a month without taking a test. If someone does this, its effect is anxiety & nervousness that they won’t get the result they are expecting
